a prayer from Tess for WFBC

Ladies, I want us to lift up the leadership and people of WFBC.

 

1 Thessalonians 5:12-15

 

We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. 

 

Father, teach us to respect the laborers in our church. Teach us to acknowledge that they are over us and to accept their admonishment. Teach us how to behave and give and interact with them in a way that communicates esteem and love and respect and thankfulness for what they do. 

 

Be at peace among yourselves.

 

Grant us peace and unity amongst our members. Thank you for the practices that the leadership in our church is putting into place that protects us from the wolves and goats coming in. Thank you for their diligence in wanting to sheppard the flock. 

 

And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.

 

For the Believers at our church, I pray for your heart as we admonish those of the flock that are idle. Give us courage and love for each other to follow this command. Make us each encouragers and train us to use this gift to bless the fainthearted and discouraged and weak. Give us Your patience toward one another.

 

See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. 

 

Lord, when we are offended may we behave righteously before you and the offender in word and deed. Teach us to respond in love and to abstain from evil. May we be quick to forgive.  Give us humility when one comes to us saying we have offended them. Forgive us. Teach us to hate evil and to put it away from us always.  Teach us how to always do good so that in doing good we may be a blessing to the saints and bring honor and glory to You.

 

Above all of this Lord, thank you for your Word. Create in us a heart that hungers and loves your word.

Today I come, absolutely floored by your grace and your mercy poured out on me!! I thank you Lord for your provision for me. For you provide all that I need Today. The encouragement in your word, those of Your people that are encouragers (like Barnabas) I just say thank you.  I pray for my church family, for those you are bringing to Waco Family, and for the new members you have brought.  Keep us humble.  Keep us trusting only in your word.  I pray this morning for my son Robert.  Save him Lord for your glory, and for his son.  That he may teach his son to love you!!  Help me to live Holy!!  Surround me with your presence. Be glorified thru me.

LORD, I just wanted to take this time to thank you for this wonderful day. Thank you for the many blessings that you give each and every day that we take for granted. Thank you for the work you are doing in the family of Waco Family Baptist Church. I ask that you put your hand on each and every person in this wonderful family. Continue to draw us all to you. Help me to show your love and mercies to those around me. I pray your blessings on our pastor and his family. I ask these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, thank you for your new mercies toward us each day. We are not deserving, but plead for your goodness toward us based on your promises on lovingkindness toward your children. Thank you, Lord.

 

I want to lift up my husband this morning. He has his last final at 8am. Father, help him recall the information he has studied. Give him a calmness instead of anxiety when he is in the midst of this final.  Lord, thank you for a husband with a kind and giving heart. Thank you for giving him a desire to hear your word preached on Sunday. Please soften his heart towards the truths he hears.

 

I pray for the Gills this Thursday morning. There has been an unusual amount of stresses in their lives with the loss of Comet and two vehicles being out of commission.  Father please comfort them and provide for them in their needs this week is a way that will leave them amazed at your love and care for them. Please protect them from the crime in their neighborhood. Thank you for their commitment to your church. And thank you for Pastor's commitment to faithfully teach your word and sheppard your people.

 

Lord, you know the needs of each member and visitor at our church. I pray for these needs. Thank you Lord for the Freeman's love for us and service to us and faithfulness.  And thank you for Dave's, commitment to ministering to is at WFBC.

 

I thank you especially for how you are blessing me with the love and encouragement and from the ladies at WFBC.  You are so good to me.

 

Thank you, Father. Thank you for granting me repentance and mercy.
